The Organics series of artworks comes from intuitive painting and then considered details. Part of the reason for painting like this is to try to understand the concept of artistic style. Is style something completely engineered or is it something more innate. What happens if I just let go and simply paint? Will there be a style when I’m not consciously trying to create a style? The more I paint, the more I understand how a narrow preference for aesthetics from the artists perspective can result in a style. This essentially means that a lack of skill can have just as much impact on style as an artist who has skill. I am looking for mastery of spontaneity.
